Children in Language Unit 2 are learning about the history of industry in Jarrow.  Today, they used a shipbuilding resource box and investigated the different sources it contained.  They used their inferencing skills to decide what objects could have been used for.  The box contained a Jarrow Crusade banner, so they had their own mini crusade around the school grounds.  Shadow even took part in the role of Paddy, the dog who walked along with the Jarrow Crusaders.
